Supporter of free speech; opponent of abortion and euthanasia.

I think he will be pleasantly surprised to find that he was wrong about atheism and that he had actually been serving God his entire life.

RIP.

The Last of the Classic Leftists.

When leftists cared about Free Speech.

Nat Hentoff is a leftist I respect because he has always been principled about the First Amendment.(He is also pro-life, I believe.) The statement that he makes that "free speech is for people we hate" is such a throwback to the leftism of a prior generation.

And at 88, he thinks that Obama is "the most dictatorial president ever."
