More criticisms of Democrat criticisms of Justice Thomas' judicial skills.

The Volokh Conspiracy locates the dissent that Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid says caused him to claim that reading one of Justice Thomas' opinion is "like looking at an 8th grade dissertation compared to somebody who just graduated from Harvard."

The problem with this criticism is that Justice Thomas' dissent isn't badly written and while somewhat dry and technical is hardly an "embarrassment" to an institution that gave us Dred Scott or the concrete legal principle that [a]t the heart of liberty is the right to define one's own concept of existence, of meaning, of the universe, and of the mystery of human life."
