A Grief Observed.

Cathy Seipp's daughter Maia reports:

Thanks to everyone who posted. As of 7:45am this morning she is still breathing and pulsing but is passing peacefully.

Grant that our sister, Cathy,
may sleep in peace
until she is awakened to glory,
for you, God, are the resurrection and the life.
Then she will see you face to face
and in your light will see light
and know the splendor of God,
for you live and reign for ever and ever.

Update: Cathy Seipp passed away on March 21, 2007. Hard-left maven Susan Estrich - who can show class and partisan ugliness on the flip of a card - shows class in a very nice column about Cathy. National Review Online also notes the outpouring of sympathy for the untimely death of a talented, conservative by choice, writer. The Los Angeles Times has an article on her.
