Ah, so Biden was BS'ing

My debater-senses were tingling by the way that Biden is coming up with just too pat quotations that are just a bit too dead-on in support of his points. When I hear that kind of thing, I want to see the support.

One thing he said is that "our commander" in Afghanistan said that "surge principles will not work."

Not so. Apparently, David McKiernan:

He disputes the notion that the three brigades on the way represent a troop "surge" for Afghanistan, predicting the need for an extended involvement of a larger force. "I've certainly said that we need more security capabilities," he says. "But I would not use the term 'surge,' because I think we need a sustained presence."

In other words, more troops are necesary for a long term presence rather than a short term presence.

Do we understand that Obama/Biden is committed to long-term war in Afghanistan, which they call the "central front against terror"?

Clearly that doesn't support Biden.

On the other hand, Palin called Mckiernan "McClellan," but note that Biden didn't catch that ... because when you BS, you lose track of what is true and what is not ture.

I'm still laughing. That's relativism at work, there, not knowing whether you're coming or going--as Joe demonstrated. He had that 'Obama drama' thing going, but not much else. Nice of him to wear the US flag though; hers was bigger.

The left will need a new theme for which to undermine Palin--do date, she has been repeatingly and consistently beating the Democrats upside their leftist heads with all of this 'inexperience' that supposedly disqualifies her.
