As the two parties alternate in controlling the government, each side’s supporters feel obliged to defend — or at least ignore — their guy’s overreach while it’s under sharp attack from their political opponents. Most people aren’t wonks; their policy preferences are heavily informed by what people on their own side whom they trust are saying. Of course, you already knew all this. Weigel’s post ends by noting that you can’t blame average voters for spacing on the “kill list” when the media hasn’t spent much time covering it. True, but if Romney hits 270, that’ll change soon. The list will be the Biggest Issue Ever.

Obama voters hate Obama policies. Reason has a "you're punked" video where the interviewer asks Obama voters about Obama policies but calls them Romney's policies. Naturally, the voters hate them - particular Obama's "kill list" and "extension of the Patriot Act." Reason explains:
