The Curley Effect.

Why are Democrat run cities such cesspools of dysfunction?

Because it filters out the riff-raff who won't keep voting Democrats back into power.

"But when Mr. Trump portrays America’s cities as hellholes of runaway crime and social collapse, what on earth is he talking about? Urban life is one of the things that has gone right with America. In fact, it has gone so right that those of us who remember the bad old days still find it hard to believe.

Let’s talk specifically about violent crime. Consider, in particular, the murder rate, arguably the most solid indicator for long-run comparisons because there’s no ambiguity about definitions. Homicides did shoot up between the early 1960s and the 1980s, and images of a future dystopia — think “Escape From New York” (1981) or Blade Runner (1982) — became a staple of popular culture. Conservative writers assured us that soaring crime was the inevitable result of a collapse in traditional values and that things would get even worse unless those values were restored.

But then a funny thing happened: The murder rate began falling, and falling, and falling. By 2014 it was all the way back down to where it was half a century earlier. There was some rise in 2015, but so far, at least, it’s barely a blip in the long-run picture.

Basically, American cities are as safe as they’ve ever been. Nobody is completely sure why crime has plunged, but the point is that the nightmare landscape of the Republican candidate’s rhetoric — call it Trump’s hellhole? — bears no resemblance to reality."

Increasing crime rates in the US--which, by the way, have been steadily rising since the 1990s--couldn’t possibly be attributed to Administrations that continue to place more emphasis on race and sexual equality, global inconsistencies, legal and moral relativity, incomprehensible school curricula, and diversity issues, than on crime prevention and Constitutional adherence. The abortion industry's branching out into organ selling, providing colleges and schools with aborted fetuses for dissection, providing birth control to ten year olds, the legalization and advocation of euthanasia and sexual perversity to include physical mutilation are, in fact, all signs of a "collapse in traditional values.” What liberals consider “progressive” in our civilization have been, in truth, the tell-tale signs of the collapse of those civilizations now extinct.

"It’s not that our liberal friends are ignorant," former liberal Mr Reagan pointed out, “it’s just that they know so much that isn’t so.” And you, Anonymous, are not the exception.

Serious question: Are you uninformed or are you a lier?

Careful with the Panic: Violent Crime and Gun Crime Are Both Dropping
The National Review
November 15, 2015

You know, the National Review, that bastion of "liberal friends" of mine.

http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/427758/careful-panic-violent-crime-and-gun-crime-are-both-dropping-charles-c-w-cooke

"Yes, America still has a host of problems, and violent crime and gun-related-crime are among them. But those problems are decreasing, not increasing."

As clearly reported in the article per various sources rates for firearm homocides, non-fatal violent forearm crime, and all non-fatal violent crime are all down by 50% to 75% from 1993 to 2012 and continue to fall since then. Numerous other sources readily available via the Internet (you know, Lauran, the thingy we're accessing Mr. Bradley's Blog on) all report the same thing.

So, Lauran are you ignorant or just a liar?

"Which brings us back to the notion of America as a nightmarish dystopia. Taken literally, that’s nonsense. But today’s increasingly multiracial, multicultural society is a nightmare for people who want a white, Christian nation in which lesser breeds know their place. And those are the people Mr. Trump has brought out into the open."

I’m neither ignorant nor a liar--are you deaf, dumb and blind or just an idiot?

I live in NYC and have watched the crime increase in addition to seeing the an increase in the brutal nature of those crimes, regardless of the statistics the National Review offers. Are you seriously waving statistics from Catholic magazines and posting additional verbal flatulence as your defense?

Since when do lower crimes have any bearing on the types of crimes that do occur--like the mentally ill shooting up schools filled with children; lunatics shooting up movie theaters while patrons watch movies; terrorists blowing up runners at marathons; police shot by teenagers while sitting in their cars, racial wars destroying cities--not to mention, again--the abortion industry's branching out into organ selling, providing colleges and schools with aborted fetuses for dissection, providing birth control to ten year olds, the legalization and advocation of euthanasia and sexual perversity to include physical mutilation are, in fact, all signs of a "collapse in traditional values.” What liberals consider “progressive” in our civilization have been, in truth, the tell-tale signs of the collapse of those civilizations now extinct.

Or don’t you consider any of those practices criminal behavior because no one’s packing while their performing them?

So again, leftard, are you deaf, dumb and blind or just an idiot?

Funny, every published set of data shows crime down massively from the 90's to now. Giving you the benefit of the doubt, I'll assume your just ignorant.

And you rant about the end of civilization isn't ignorant, its stupid.
